PLYMOUTH ROCK LACROSSE - BOYS LACROSSE PROGRAM

The Plymouth Rock Lacrosse Boys Program is for boys in grades 1 through 8 from the Town of Plymouth and surround towns towns that do not currently have a lacrosse program.  Our boys program is geared to developing our young athletes to become complete lacrosse with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the game.  We do this be striving individual skills within the team play concept.  Our goal is to foster a love and respect for the game of lacrosse and to provide our boys with the skills necessary for successful interscholastic high school and hopefully college careers.  The following is a brief overview of the boys program.

Age Groups:
U9 - Grades 1 & 2; U11 - Grades 3 & 4; U13 - Grades 5 & 6; U15 - Grades 7 & 8

Leagues:
U9 - Independent, plays games against surrounding communities with U9 programs
U11, U13 & U15 - Massachusetts Bay Youth Lacrosse League (MBYLL) - Cape & Southeastern MA Division of the South Shore, Cape & Islands Region  
U13 & U15
Select - New England Select Lacrosse League Select Division (NESLL) - Highly competitive South Shore & Cape Select team league.

League Formats & Registration Fees:
U9
- Competitive "Learn to Play" league.  7 vs 7 format on half size fields.  One coach allowed on field with players. No body or stick checking.  Players must wear full protective gear (helmet, gloves, arm & should pads, and mouthpiece) $130 PRL registration fee plus $25 US Lacrosse Membership fee, total $155.

U11 MBYLL - Competitive league.  Scores can be kept but there are no leagues standings and no championship play.  10 vs 10 full field.  One coach allowed on the field with players.  Players to receive approximately equal playing time.  Stick checking is allowed.  No body checking.  $130 PRL registration fee plus $25 US Lacrosse Membership fee, total $155.

U13 MBYLL - Competitive league.  Scores can be kept but there are no leagues standings and no championship play.  10 vs 10 full field.  Players to receive approximately equal playing time.  Stick checking and controlled body checking is allowed. $130 PRL registration fee plus $25 US Lacrosse Membership fee, total $155.

U15 MBYLL - Competitive league.  Scores can be kept but there are no leagues standings and no championship play.  10 vs 10 full field.  Prep for high school play, some highs school rules in effect.  Players to receive approximately equal playing time.  Stick checking and controlled body checking is allowed. $130 PRL registration fee plus $25 US Lacrosse Membership fee, total $155.

U13 & U15 TTL - Highly Competitive Select League.  Scores and leagues standings are kept.  Playoff and Championship play.  10 vs 10 full field.  Players are not required to receive equal playing time.  Players must be member of the MBYLL team.  High school rules observed. Minimum of 2 years previous lacrosse experience preffered.  Tryout and selection to team.  $65 registration fee

Season & Game Days:
U9
- First weekend in April to mid June.  Games on Saturday or Sunday as determined by home team. One day Jamboree, typically 3 games on 2nd or 3rd weekend in June

U11, U13, and U15 MBYLL - First weekend in April to mid June.  Games on Sunday U15 @ 12pm, U13 @ 1:30, U11 @ 3pm. One day Jamboree, typically 3 games on 2nd or 3rd weekend in June

U13 & U15 Select Teams - First week of April to first week of June.  Games on either Friday or Saturday with times as determined by the home team.  One day playoff tournament held in second week of June.  All Star game in late June with 2 representatives from each member town.

Practices: 
Number of practices and locations to be determined by team coach.  MBYLL teams are expected to practice a minimum of 2 evenings per week for at least 1 hour to 90 minutes.  Select teams will have one additional practice per week with location and time to be determined by coach.

Games:
  All boys teams play home games at Manomet Elementary School.
Practices: Manomet Elementary School, and PCIS Middle School
